Saira joined Engage in 2016 as an art therapist and working in our private practice, specializing in early intervention and prevention with children. Saira graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Art Therapy. She is trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy, TF-CBT and Seeking Safety evidenced-based practices. She also uses the evidenced-based practices of Triple P and MAP in her work with parents. Saira uses play and art therapy to assist clients in meaningful expression. She runs art therapy groups at Engage with teenagers in the partial hospitalization program. Saira also works with parents, children, and adolescents at So Cal Child Therapy and in her private practice. She believes that no two people are alike and tailors her therapeutic approach to each individual, couple or family she meets. Her core belief is that each of us has the potential to heal from any pain or obstacle life has given us. It is her mission to help you uncover what the pain is, where is it coming from and how to manage and heal from it. She helps our clients find their own strengths and assist them in discovering their potential. Saira’s style is built on this strengths-based approach and integrates mindful awareness, humanistic and problem-solving approaches.
