Liz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of mental health clinical experience in the private and public sectors. Liz graduated with her Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University with a specialization in Contemporary Social Problems. Upon graduating, she spent the first several years as a Forensic Social Worker in New York City with a focus on trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, domestic violence, and severe and persistent mental illness. Liz then transitioned into Medical Social Work and has been serving the Santa Monica and West Los Angeles communities for the past 15 years. She has continued to expand her clinical practice and specializes in the use of Yoga therapy, Reiki, Essential Oil Therapy, and Contemplative Care (mindfulness & meditation) in session. Liz is a great fit for individuals struggling with symptoms of anxiety, panic disorder, depression, PTSD, suicidal ideation/self-harm behaviors, end of life and bereavement (hospice), or challenges with life transitions. In addition to her private practice at Engage, Liz works as an Emergency Department social worker in Santa Monica and has led trainings with the Santa Monica Fire Department, Santa Monica UCLA Emergency Department Nurses, Hospital Social Work Departments, UCLA Medical School and guest lectured at UCLA and USC Schools of Social Work. In her free time, she serves as a taxi driver to her two energetic sons, maintaining a strong yoga practice and watching as much television as possible with her loving husband of 14 years!
